Refund & Cancellation Policy

Indian Cancer Genome Atlas (ICGA) Foundation

1. General Policy Statement

The Indian Cancer Genome Atlas (ICGA) Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative. All payments made for event registrations and donations support our mission to advance cancer genomics research and public health in India. As such, all transactions are considered final, except under the limited conditions described below.

2. Event Registration Refunds (e.g., ICGA2025)

Registration fees for ICGA events are non-refundable, except in the following exceptional cases:

Refunds May Be Considered If:

  • Duplicate payment has been made for the same participant,
  • A technical error (on the payment gateway or ICGA system) resulted in incorrect or incomplete payment capture.

In these cases:

  • The participant must email a refund request to icga2025@icga.co.in within 5 working days of the transaction,
  • The email must include:
    • Participant’s full name and registered email ID,
    • Proof of payment (transaction ID, UPI reference, or bank confirmation),
    • Event registration details.

Approved refunds will be processed only after internal verification and will be returned to the original payment method within 15 business days of approval.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued under the following conditions:

  • Voluntary cancellation by the registrant for any reason,
  • Failure to attend the event (no-show),
  • Incorrect registration details submitted by the user,
  • Requests received beyond the 7-day window,
  • Force majeure or circumstances beyond ICGA’s control (e.g., natural disasters, health emergencies, or government restrictions).

4. Donations

All donations made to ICGA Foundation are non-refundable.

  • Donations are considered voluntary contributions to a public-good research initiative.
  • No cancellation or refund will be entertained once a donation is successfully processed.
  • Donors will receive a confirmation email and a Section 80G tax receipt via email (within 7–10 working days of payment).

5. Processing and Contact

All refund requests are subject to verification and approval by ICGA. Refunds, if approved, will be processed via the same payment method originally used.
